● Saturday Night Live re-enacted the Chuck Hagel hearings in a dress rehearsal skit which never appeared on the air (not unusual). It’s more amazing than amusing. It was posted on youtube (February 2013): “You said, and I quote, ‘The US will always have an extremely close relationship with Israel, but that’s not to say that in every single instance our interests and those of Israel will be identical. I thought to myself, 'Is this a typo? Are my eyes deceiving me?'” See the video.
